Rigg-Zschokke was the successful tenderer for the construction of the architecturally designed $2.5 million Wairarapa Museum and Art Gallery. Selected from tenderers including other major contractors from the Wellington area to undertake this high profile civil project. The building is constructed almost entirely from material donated by Juken Nissho and the building has been specifically designed to take full advantage of this. The building comprises galleries and a café and incorporates the old Wesley Church. Specialised heating, ventilation and security systems create an environment that will allow the centre to house world class exhibits as well as keeping safe and showcasing our own cultural and historical heritage.
